Plain-language summary
Tasks and their previews first check browser support and estimated memory. Compatible processing runs locally. Unsupported tasks, estimated memory shortages, or local processing failures can trigger an automatic upload to our processing endpoint. Installing the PWA or its Windows Store package does not disable this fallback.
Information the app processes
The app processes the PDFs and images you select, filenames, file metadata, and task settings. These may include watermark text or images, links, page ranges, dimensions, and output preferences. Documents and images can contain personal information; choose files you are comfortable processing this way.
Processing on your device
Supported browser tasks process file contents in browser memory without sending those contents to the processing server. Browser and memory checks are estimates, so a task that starts locally may still fall back to the server. The separate Python desktop edition runs its processing endpoint on your own device.
Server processing
When fallback is needed and a connection is available, the web app sends the selected files, filenames, watermark assets, and relevant task settings over HTTPS to provide previews or generate your result. The hosted fallback currently accepts up to 4 MB in total. File contents are used for the requested processing, not advertising, sale, or AI model training.
Retention and deletion
The processing endpoint handles uploads and results in memory and does not create a persistent document library or intentionally save copies for later use. Responses are marked not to be cached. This is not a promise of immediate secure erasure from all system memory or hosting infrastructure. Operational logs are separate from document storage.
Original files remain on your device. Downloaded results stay wherever you save them until you delete them. Closing or resetting the app releases its working references; it does not delete your originals or downloads.
Installed apps, offline storage, and file access
The PWA's service worker caches the app interface and processing libraries for faster loading and supported offline tasks. It does not cache uploaded documents, processing API responses, or generated results. Clearing the site's browser storage removes cached app assets.
The app reads files you choose, drop into it, or explicitly open with the installed app where supported. It does not scan your folders. Offline use cannot upload files; tasks requiring the hosted server need an internet connection.
Hosting and website analytics
The hosted app uses Vercel for hosting, server processing, and Web Analytics. Analytics provide aggregated traffic statistics such as page visits, referrers, browser and device types, and approximate location. The app does not send your selected filenames, document contents, or generated results to analytics.
Hosting providers may process technical request information, including IP addresses, request times, and security or error logs. App stores and browsers also operate under their own policies. This policy page loads Google Fonts. See Vercel's analytics privacy information, Vercel's privacy policy, and Google's privacy policy.
Your choices
No account is required. Opening files through the app's initial Open files chooser lets you dismiss the task suggestions without processing. Once you choose a task, previews may process files before you generate a result. If files must remain on your device, use supported browser tasks offline or the local Python desktop edition; an online web task can upload automatically when local processing is unavailable or fails. You can clear cached site data in your browser and delete saved results yourself.
